The New York Times features an article today reporting that religious groups–especially right-wing and fundamentalist ones–are one of the major applicants for Low-Power FM licenses, comprising around 50%. Of course, the conflict that arises is that these same groups tend to be aligned with Republicans, who are currently leading the way in limiting or killing LPFM, since they are securely in the pocket of the NAB.The question is, then: which wins, the (supposed) moral leaders, or the big moneybags? I don’t think the answer is too hard to figure out.
